Mosaic is CISV’s local community-based program.
Mosaic can be anything from a one-off event to a year-long project.
Mosaic projects are planned and delivered by our Chapters, using CISV’s educational approach, and each one responds to local needs and interests in a meaningful way. Most projects are designed and run in cooperation with partner organizations to further the benefit to the local community. Being part of a Mosaic project is a real-life learning experience that will have a lasting impact and, if you’re new to CISV, it’s a great way to get involved!
In the Miami chapter, we have taken part in two Mosaics.
On Saturday April 21st and April 28 , 2018 the JB members visited the Born Free Pet Shelter in Homestead as part of the Mosaic program. They participated in clean up and taking care of the homeless dogs.
On November 18, 2017, we hosted a run for charity to benefit Shake-A-Leg Miami, a not-for-profit organization working with children & adults with physical, developmental, and economic challenges in a marine environment. Due to Hurricane Irma, Shake-A-Leg suffered damages to their facilities.
